As a geek at heart (I built Web pages in the 90s), I was so excited to learn about She’s Geeky. It was started in 2007 by Kailya Hamlin as a way for high-tech women in the San Francisco Bay Area to support, educate and share experiences with one another.
On August 6-7, She’s Geeky is coming to the Twin Cities, thanks to Liz Tupper (@etupper) and Jacque Urick (@moarinternets), as a way for women working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) to connect and network together. This unconference is open to all women in technology, as well as women doing technology in non-technology fields.
And now, for the Fabuliss part…
On Saturday, July 17, Sasha Westin of Fabuliss (that’s me) and Gretchen Ditto of Ditto & Co. are teaming up to help a She’s Geeky Twin Cities attendee look her best. The randomly selected attendee will receive a mini color analysis and we’ll help her shop her closet for an outfit to wear to the unconference.
We’ll also use the selected attendee’s closet at the She’s Geeky Twin Cities event. We’ll mix and match her clothes and accessories for even more outfits that will give everyone ideas they can use in their closets.
Sasha’s specialty is shopping closets and stores to mix and match outfits that give you camera-ready confidence and Gretchen’s specialty is custom color and fit analysis that helps you learn how to shop for clothes that fit and flatter in every way.
So what are you waiting for? Get registered…and good luck!
